To be certified by Evidentia is to maintain the title of Certified Sexuality/Inclusivity Specialist (CSIS) or Certified Sexuality/Inclusivity Specialized Practice (CSIS-P). This title demonstrates that an individual or organization has shown a comprehensive understanding and commitment to diversity and inclusion in healthcare, particularly in the context of sexual health and LGBTQ+ Healthcare Education.

Here are the skills, knowledge, and competencies that a CSIS-(P) will have:

  • Certified individuals or organizations will have a deep understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion in healthcare. They will be able to articulate why these principles are crucial for improving patient outcomes and provider ratings.

  • They will have a clear understanding of various marginalized groups, including queer folks, gender nonconforming folks, kinky folks, non-white folks, ethically non-monogamous folks, and intersex folks. They will be able to discuss the unique healthcare needs and challenges of these groups.

  • Certified individuals or organizations will be competent in providing inclusive care. They will be able to demonstrate how to adapt their practices to meet the unique needs of diverse patients and how to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patients.

  • They will have a strong foundation in sexual health education and will be able to apply this knowledge in their practice. They will be able to educate patients about sexual health in a way that is respectful, inclusive, and evidence-based.
